Ontario's Proposed Approach to Physician-Assisted Dying Public Consultations
Heather Campbell, RN our Palliative Care Nurse provided us with this valuable information regarding physician-assisted dying consultations and Ontario39;s proposed approach to this.

Hello,

Attached is a new release discussing Ontario39;s proposed approach to physician-assisted dying.

To help inform the approach, Ontario is inviting the general public to share their views on physician-assisted dying and end-of-life care through in-person public consultations to be held in nine communities in January 2016. Ontarians will be able to provide their input on key issues, including safeguards to protect vulnerable people, the impact on families and caregivers, and the role of health care providers in providing physician-assisted dying.

The consultations are open to the general public, and pre-registration is encouraged. We would also like to invite you to share the town hall information with your networks for their participation, should you be interested. Please find the schedule and registration details below.  The discussions will not have dial-in access and must be attended in person. For those who cannot attend in person, an online survey is available. Please visitwww.ipsosresearch.com/endoflifedecisionssurvey (English) or www.ipsosresearch.com/sondagedecisionsdefindevie.com (French) or phone 1-866-477-6753 to participate.

Please review the attached community consultations schedule. To register for the town halls, please visit www.endoflifeconsultations.com  or phone 1-844-438-5539.

Regards,
