Moms & Babies Programs and Support

Prince Edward Family Health Team nurse will provide individual guidance, support and resources for any child health or parenting concern.

The nurse also collaborates and assists with other programs and services in Prince Edward County to support parents.


Babeez 'n' Arms

This program is for new moms and their babies. It is a free weekly drop-in opportunity for
postpartum moms and their babies.
It is held every Monday at the Wellington United Church on Main Street in Wellington. The Maternal Infant Child Nurse provides newborn assessments, guidance and support for new moms and their babies. This is an opportunity for new moms to network while getting professional advice on such things as breastfeeding, growth, and development and newborn parenting tips.

Babies and Beyond Group

This teen group meets weekly and provides education, support, and guidance for young
moms and moms to be. Contact the PEFHT Maternal Infant Child Nurse at 613-476-0400 ext. 238

Enhanced 18-Month Well-Baby Visit

Eighteen months is an important milestone in your child's development. Your Dr/NP/Nurse will provide screenings and resources at this visit. Click here for website.
